Last Minute Road Trips Should Happen More Often

Played the roll of tag-along last night for a 4 hour road trip to Asheville, North Carolina, to see The Bowerbirds and La Strada. I had never really heard them before and just thought the trip alone would be adventure enough. The show ended up being in a really small bar with probably about 40 people and two dogs. It was one of the best shows I have seen in a while. The bands were amazing and full of energy. The Bowerbirds were having trouble with feedback from their monitors, so for the last song they all came off stage and the guitarist played and sang with the other two as back up singers and the crowd snapping. This is the way shows should be.

Here are a few pictures from our trip:

ART SALE IS ONLY 4 WEEKS AWAY!!

So Aajay and I are prepping ourselves the best we can for this art sale. Stress is rising as we find more and more things that need to be done. We have gained a ton of community support from around the Square and all of the artists seem really excited. We have some musical acts lined up and will be receiving our Silent Auction pieces from the artists this weekend. I'm really excited to meet everyone and to see what they bring. This is definitely going to be monumental and not to be missed!
