The Teems....es

I drove down to Palm City, Florida, in the beginning of July to take pictures of the Teems family. It's about a 10 hour drive and most people ask why I would drive so far just for some family pictures. The simple answer is that I love driving. What is the best thing about driving? Taking pictures while driving. It's not as dangerous as it sounds, I promise. Here are some of those plus some I took while hanging with the Teems....es.

Fashion Comes First (even during the Apocalypse)

I'm really glad that I am surrounded by so many people who create things just for the sake of creating them. One such creation is Spit Take Magazine. Take a look at the page to learn more about it. Here are the finished products of a photo shoot for some Apocalypse Apparel ads.

Going Nonstop.

So. I am a really terrible blogger. I'm just going to come out and say that. This is partly because aside from photography, I own a business called The Grass Being Greener (TGBG) with a friend of mine and we have been doing a lot of work planning a couple of events coming up. We also took our first business trip recently: from March 12 to 14, we attened the Harvest of Hope Fest in St. Augustine, FL. Thanks to Jeffrey Bützer and Tom Cheshire of Dry Ink Mag, we were granted press passes and got to conduct lots of interviews and take lots of pictures. These are all coming soon and will be posted on the TGBG site.

Since our return, I have been crazy busy with photo shoots, printing, framing, editing, and traveling. Here is a bit of what I have done:

(03/18) Kennesaw State University's Africa & African Diaspora Studies Conference:

(03/19) 7th Annual Walter Rodney Symposium at Spelman College:

(Several Days) Land of a Thousand Hills coffee shops marketing photos:

(03/20) Shots of Roswell for Roswell Day of Hope:
(03/30-04/04) Road trip to Alexandria, VA, to shoot my cousin Jason, his wife Dawn, and their new son, Parker (probably one of the chillest babies I've ever seen):

The whole road trip is an entry in itself. I'll try to do that in the next day or so. Keyword is 'try'.
